🇬🇺 Guam & Saipan lost passport and theft
Police report, lost passport, items left in a taxi. What you tick stays on your phone. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
If you lost your passport: the steps
- Search once more first. Once you report it lost, the passport is cancelled even if you find it later.
- Report the loss or theft at the nearest police station and get a police report or report number. Your insurer, your embassy and often immigration will ask for it. Use the cards above.
- Contact your embassy or consulate. Usually you need passport photos, any ID or a copy of the lost passport, and your onward ticket.
- Guam and Saipan are US territories with no exit immigration check, so no exit permit is needed; fly straight home on the new passport or travel certificate. Saipan has no Korean office and is covered by the Guam office, so call it first. An emergency passport cannot be used for ESTA, and under the Guam-CNMI visa waiver, Saipan admits only electronic passports. If you plan to continue to the US mainland or Hawaii, or re-enter Saipan, check with the office.
